The short version: we don't sell your information, we don't share it, and you can delete everything whenever you like.
That last one is a count of days, not a record of where you went. We don't keep a list of which videos you watched or which pages you opened. Nobody here can pull up your browsing history, because it was never written down.
We do count how often each video is played — a running total per video, so we can tell which lessons are actually useful and make more of what helps. The count is attached to the video, never to you: there is nowhere in it to record who pressed play, so it cannot be turned back into a list of what any one person watched, by us or by anyone else. The totals are grouped by week rather than by day for the same reason.
Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to your school. There is no arrangement under which anyone pays for any of this, and there never will be.
Your teacher can see how many students joined their class. They cannot see who you are, your email address, what you starred, or how far along you are. Joining a class does not hand your name to anybody.
You can delete your account at any time, from your account page. We email you a link first, so that nobody can close your account from a computer you left signed in. Opening that link erases everything on the spot: your email address, your name, your bookmarks, your stars, your collections and your class memberships. We do not keep a copy, and there is no thirty-day grace period in which we quietly hold onto it.
If you are a teacher, deleting your account also deletes the classes you built and the picks inside them. Your students keep their own accounts, but the class page stops working.
One cookie, and it only remembers that you are signed in. The site also uses your browser's own storage to hold your place in a video and whether you chose light or dark mode. That never leaves your device.
There are no advertising cookies and no tracking pixels on this site.
Videos are hosted on YouTube. When you press play, YouTube receives your IP address, the same as on any site with a video embedded. We use their no-cookie player so it doesn't follow you around the web afterwards. The sign-in form also runs a Cloudflare check to keep robots from mass-creating accounts.
